Upward is a Basketball and Cheerleading program for children in 1-6 grades, where every child is a winner!  The purpose of Upward Sports is to fulfill God’s vision by promoting:

 

1. Salvation – Sharing the love of Jesus Christ with everyone involved in Upward
2. Character – Helping every child grow as Jesus did; spiritually, physically, mentally and socially
3. Self-Esteem – Helping every child grow in their understanding and enjoyment of sports.

Upward is committed to equipping believers to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with unlimited children through sports ministry.

Registration Deadlines

 

·          The early registration cost per child for basketball is $65;

after October 25, the cost is $75.

·          The early registration cost per child for cheerleading is $55;

after October 25, the cost is $65.

·          Deadline for registration is October 31.

·          Basketball shorts are included in the registration cost.

·          Cheerleading mock turtlenecks are optional at a cost of $12.

 

Evaluations and Orientations  

Everyone must attend one basketball evaluation or cheerleading orientation.  They will take place at the First Baptist Church of Clearwater Gym.

·          K-5 through 8th Grade Boys/Girls Basketball

Saturday, November 1, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

·          K-5 through 4th Grade Boys/Girls Basketball

Monday, November 3, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

·          5th through 8th Grade Boys/Girls Basketball

Tuesday, November 4, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

·          K-5 through 6th Grade Cheerleading Orientation

Saturday, November 8, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m
