FAQ

If it is your first time at Clearwater First, you are our honored guest, and we are excited to host you.  We understand that visiting a new church for the first time can be nerve-wracking, so here are a few frequently asked questions to help you plan your visit.

What should I expect?

You should expect to be warmly welcomed by greeters and people who are glad you've come.  Clearwater First is a Southern Baptist church that believes in dynamic, practical, Biblical preaching and exciting worship that touches the hearts of people from all ages and stages of life.

What should I wear?

At Clearwater First you will see people of all ages wearing suits and dresses, as well as jeans and tennis shoes.  While we believe that an important part of worship is giving our best to God, we also believe the Biblical truth that "man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7)

What time should I get there?

Plan on arriving at least 15 minutes before the service starts, so that you will have time to park, get situated, and get into the sanctuary before the music starts.  Sunday school classes begin at 9:15 AM, and our congregational worship begins at 10:30 AM.

What style of music will I find?

We seek to worship God in Spirit and Truth through our multi-generational worship service, utilizing a variety of songs and styles and encouraging active participation by all.

What do you do for kids?

Your child will experience age-appropriate Bible teaching and fun activities designed to introduce them to a life-changing journey to follow Jesus Christ.

We understand that it's a big deal to drop your kids off in an unfamiliar place.  Feel free to ask one of friendly staff for a tour of our children's facilities before leaving your children.  We expect that once your kids see the fun activities available to them, they will not want to leave!

Can I attend if I am . . . ?

Fill in the blank with whatever you fear would make you unwelcome in a church setting. . . divorced, single parent, broken, poor, skeptic, etc. Whether you grew up in church, have never been to church, consider yourself a follower of Jesus, or just have questions, we would love for you to join us.

At Clearwater First, we recognize that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 2:23-24), therefore, we welcome everyone, no matter your circumstances.

How do I get there?

Clearwater First is located off of Church Street in Clearwater, SC. Once you arrive, go to any one of the main entrances and a greeter will be waiting to welcome and help you.

We would love to make your first visit with us extra special.  From the first time you step foot onto our campus, you will feel like part of our family.  If you have additional questions, please email us, and someone will be in touch to help you plan your first Sunday at Clearwater First.

We'll see you this weekend!
